Jonathan Jaffe Wins partypoker WPT Montreal For $463,432!

Early this morning, U.S. pro Jonathan Jaffe stood tall as the champion after having defeated Ratharam Sivagnanam heads-up on the 2014 partypoker WPT Montreal Main Event final table!


In the final hand (hand 135), Sivagnanam limped for 400k and Jaffe raised to 1.4 million. Sivagnanam considered his options for a few moments before moving all in for 5.2 million. Jaffe made the call with AClubKClub and Sivagnanam turned over 10Diamond8Diamond. The board was dealt 6Heart4Spade3SpadeJHeartQHeart and Jaffe scooped the last pot, and the title, with his two over cards.

In total, Jaffe overcome a field of 732 players over 5 days of play to claim his first World Poker Tour title! What makes his performance a bit extraordinary is that he held the chip lead during the final 3 days of the tournament! How often does that happen in a major poker tournament?
